Training and support group

"Good news!! The additional £100,000 requested to support the next round of
training and visits has been successful. Have you arranged to visit one of
the special schools in Bradford or further a field? The group recently met
members of Leeds University about training opportunities and we are awaiting
additional information from them. Leeds has indicated that they would be
prepared to 'host' a networking group of staff during this intended
re-organisation and this approach was welcomed by special school
headteachers at their last meeting. The next steps are to begin to involve
representatives of the staff's of the co-located mainstream schools in phase
two of the training programme, to complete a list of potential providers
(headteachers have a draft copy) and to inform schools of their individual
training and support budgets for the next year (2004/05). "
