HEADTEACHER APPOINTMENTS FOR THE NEW SPECIAL SCHOOLS

07^TH JULY 2005

Dear Colleague,

As you are probably already aware, the assimilation exercise for headteachers took place on Monday 20^th June 2005.

Following the assimilation exercise and ratification by the Temporary Governing Bodies the following assimilations have taken place:

Beckfoot Secondary Special School          -           Mrs Susan Gill

Greenhead Secondary Special School      -           Mrs Patricia Pearson

Delius Primary Special School                   -           Mrs Sally Joy

Guard House Primary Special School       -           Mr Gary Bowden

Two of the new special schools did not assimilate staff into their headteacher post and will be proceeding to a national advert for the post these are:

Chellow Heights Primary Special School

Haycliffe/Grange Secondary Special School

There are also two headteachers who have been assimilated to Embedding Mangers posts that will support the new schools after they have opened, they are:

Mr Keith Fair (currently Headteacher at Haycliffe Special School)

Mrs Hilary Morrison (currently Headteacher at Chapel Grange Special School).

As further information regarding the process for other staff becomes available this will also be posted on the website.
