MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

Minutes of the last meeting were amended to include Janet Bates on the attendance list.

 

Susan confirmed that she had issued Liz Wilson with the last set of minutes to be publish on the website.

Time line

The group were informed that deadline had moved again to 20 – 30 November.

FEEDBACK FROM SEN STEERING GROUP

Susan informed the group that the 5 November meeting was cancelled and the next meeting will be taking place on the
3 December.

REMODELLING

The remodelling group comprising representatives from H/T’s, UNISON, Business Managers facilitated by EB HR Advisors are viewing the nationally recommended JD’s/PS’s  to make the relevant to Bradford schools.

 

Susan will keep the group updated with progress on this issue.

STAFF CONSULTATION DATA 

Members expressed concerns regarding staff transferring (distance of travel, cost and childcare commitments).  Concern was expressed re potential vacant posts if staff did not transfer to the new schools and the timescales required to recruit and induct new staff.

 

 

TIMELINE

 

January 2005 notices expected to be published (6 weeks) – posts will be advertised internally and appointment will be made in Spring.

 

Temporary Governing Bodies established January/February 2005.

 

Organisation Structures

 

End of March 2005 – Head Teachers JD’s/PS’s appointment/recruitment process.

 

Interviews (if required) – half term

By July 2005 - organisation structure (clarity of budget position required) to be approved by governing body by summer half time.

 

By December 2005 - consultation with Trade Unions on organisation structures completed.

 

Assimilation and appointments (if done level-by-level – appeal process?)

 

By Summer 2006 –Teaching / Support Assistants placed.

 

2 half terms will be required for this process.

 

Concerns regarding loss of Head Teachers posts when the schools close were expressed.
