MATTERS ARISING
Assimilation of AST’s Mary Winter asked Susan Milnes if there was any further information regarding the assimilation of AST’s as she had been asked by her members of staff for an update/clarification of this issue.
Susan Milnes had spoken to Stephen Pearce from Education Bradford who informed her that the employees were employed through the school. Mary Winter said that she understood the contract was between Education Bradford and the employee – not the school.
Darren to speak to Stephen Pearce to clarify this issue.
Darren to come back to next meeting with any further information on AST’s.

SURVEY
The group had a discussion regarding the purpose/content of the next survey that is to be issued within the next couple of months.
There were a couple of ideas on the content of the survey and the distribution.
(1) Send out information individually and ask the employees to complete all their personal details/to ensure the details are correct, then once this information is received request the employees preference of school OR
(2) Send out all the information together i.e. personal details + preference of school
Some employees may not be sure of which school they would like until all the Headteachers are appointed.
The group agreed that the first thing to do is to ensure that all personal details on the database are correct and up-to-date then deal with the preferences of school.
Darren agreed to draw up a draft and bring to the next meeting on 18th May.
Once this is agreed it can be distributed to schools after the Spring Bank Holiday (w/c 18th June) to ensure that all staff receive this at the same time.
To be put on the agenda for the next meeting |

SKILLS AUDIT
Susan Milnes handed out 2 skills audit forms for the group to look at.
The group discussed options of how these forms should be completed.
(1) Have a quick 10 minute interview with each employee once they have completed the form to find out more details and check if everything is ok with the form
(2) Darren Whitelaw and trade unions to hold a couple of presentations in order to inform employees of the details needed to complete the skills form and also to be if there are any queries/questions.
The group have taken away the 2 forms and are to come back at the next meeting with comments.
Angela to send out these forms to individuals who were not at the meeting for their comments.
