MATTERS ARISING
Publication of Notices/TimelineThis has now been finalised.
Assimilation – Views On ProcessSusan informed the group that she had voiced their concerns at the SEN Steering Group regarding the assimilation process.
RemodellingThe new JD’s/PS’s have now gone out.
Liz Eggington asked Susan Milnes if it would be possible for Louise Shaw to continue on the group after she has left the school in September, Susan thought it was unlikely as the group consisted of employees who work within schools, Susan said there may be a very small possibility of Louise staying within the group but would make a note of it and reassess nearer the time.

STAFFING STRUCTURES
Hilary Morrison sent Susan Milnes a staffing structures overview document which was very useful which Susan shared with the group.
Matt Burghardt said there was a need to look at some skeletal structures and see what they would look like. Hilary agreed to liaise with the Headteachers Group regarding structures.
Hilary also mentioned inviting Dominic Wall to attend the next meeting and possibly help with the working up of the structures.

ASSIMILATION
There have been discussions regarding the principles of assimilation at the Joint OJC meetings. We are seeking to collectively agree arrangements for the movement of staff to the new schools.
We hope to have the following information by September 2006:- - matching skills to JD’s - location of school - preferences
There have been some principles tabled to the trade unions which are under discussion.
Wendy Johnson has been appointed as the Information Officer, Wendy will deal with all the inputting of information from employees on the database which will include skills and expertise, this will help with the assimilation process.
If we have all the following information in place we can deliver within the next academic year. We will need the temporary Governing Bodies up and running, the principles accepted by the Trade Unions, Headteachers in posts and staffing structures and the databases up to date with employees skills and expertise.
The Information Officer and HR Adviser posts have both been filled and will commence at the end of March. . |
